2 Why digiORB ?  One of the areas where deficiencies are most pronounced during Port State Control and 3rd Party inspections is Oil Record Book  The current system consists of ship board officers maintaining the pocket sounding book and calculation of pumping / disposal quantities  From these records the ship based personnel make entries in ORB  However inconsistencies are found because of wrong calculations, some entries missed out and wrong entries that are not identified in time  The companies shore office finds it overwhelming to scrutinize the entries in ORB

3 How digiORB works ?  digiORB is a system that has been developed to address the problems faced by Ship as well as Owner / Ship Manager  The System identifies entries to be made in ORB  The entries are then checked by Chief Engineer / Chief Officer  Master confirms the entries electronically  digiORB can be used as a review aid for one entry at a time  The entries are manually copied in the official ORB  Electronic back up is maintained  The electronic records can be zipped and forwarded to Ship Managers’ system through mail
