Government Policy A key driver of government policy is to maximise employment and skills opportunities for all. Public money should create opportunities that help people back to work and provide wider economic and social benefits for people and places National Skills Strategy – Skills for Growth (Nov 09). 20,000 apprenticeship places over the next three calendar years Every government department and agency is expected to play its part
