Acuity: Assessment Features Designed to be administered in one-two class periods online or offline. Test items are research based. They have been developed and subjected to rigorous test item analyses for reliability and validity.

Terminology –Acuity Specific Role – a defined user with certain access privileges Permissions – level of access given to each role within Acuity Assignment – allows an individual (student, educator) access to perform a particular function within Acuity. Assigning a test to a student allows the student to physically take the test. Custom test – refers to the function to create a test regardless of it’s intended purpose Instructional Resources – online tutorials Tiers – used in reporting student performance Diagnostic – refers to the CTB created benchmark assessments

Timeframes Now – CSOs are being loaded into Acuity by CTB Summer – WVDE will verify alignment of items Fall – CTB/Benchmark Assessment Team will finalize Diagnostic 1 Fall/Winter –CTB/Benchmark Assessment Team will develop Diagnostics 2 - 4 Ongoing – Continue to write/upload items Ongoing – Benchmark Assessment Team will work with the Office of Instruction; as they assist counties with unpacking of CSOs, we will assist you with creating customized benchmark assessments
