THE GENIUS OF GENEROSITY
4
Life is advanced as we exercise “…the grace of giving… (2 Corinthians 8:7) rooted in Jesus Himself. For “…you know the grace, [the giving], of [the] Lord Jesus Christ…” Paul declares “that though he was rich… [He] became poor [giving all], so that…through his poverty [you] -- might become rich!” (2 Corinthians 8:9).
5
“[If we keep] to ourselves what we possess, we [actually] diminish its…value…In short, by failing to [give to] others, we do not properly [give to] ourselves. It is no coincidence that the word “miser” is…related to the word “miserable.”
6
“Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it.” (Luke 17:33).
7
Remember: What You “Have” Isn’t Yours, Anyway
8
“…Yours O Lord, is the greatness and the power…for everything in heaven and earth is yours…Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things…In your hands are strength and power…” (2 Chronicles 29:11-12).
9
“Give it up!” Give up everything to the Lord!
10
“…you are not your own. You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for; made God’s own]. [And] so then, honor God [as owner, bringing] glory to Him…” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Amplified Bible, adapted).
11
“Pour Your Heart Out,” Giving All, No Matter The Amount.
12
“…whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly” Paul clarifies, “…and whoever sows generously will also reap generously…” (2 Corinthians 9:6).
13
You see, even the smallest actions, if given generously, vigorously can have major impact. Why the science of chaos theory contends, that even something as small, but vigorous, as the flutter of a butterfly can cause a typhoon halfway around the world!
14
Anticipate The Rich Blessing Of An Undivided Life, Given Totally To God.
15
For “…God is able…” (2 Corinthians 9:8)
16
God is able!!
17
Specifically “…God is able to make all grace abound…” (2 Corinthians 9:8) But there’s more. “…he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will…supply and increase your store of seed… [in fact] you will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion…” (2 Corinthians 9:10-11).
18
Jesus encounters a demon possessed man named Legion, which means literally: “we are many” (Mark 5:10).
19
“No one can serve two masters” “…for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and…be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions, or whatever is trusted in)” (Matthew 6:24, The Amplified Bible) apart from God.
20
As we live totally, generously for Jesus, generosity is showered on us, as God richly blesses our days!
21
Bless others in bountiful ways!
22
God is able!!
23
“…Able to make all grace abound…” (2 Corinthians 9:8). For “…he who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food will…supply and increase your store of seed… [in fact] you will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion…” (2 Corinthians 9:10-11)
24
“Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it.” (Luke 17:33)
