Genesis 1:27-31 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” 29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground— everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

7. Genesis 1:27-31 the first recording of the Great Commission Man made in God’s image – to be a worker (Creating / Caring) Commission-Man to work together to accomplish God’s work in the world. (Made them man / woman) Be Fruitful and Multiply “Workers/ Worshippers” for God Have Dominion (Protect and Provide as one who is responsible)

8. Abraham’s Call in Gen. 17 I will be your God. I will Bless you and your family. I will make you a blessing to the nations. I will give you a land Now Go Out where I tell you to GO. Mark 1:15-20 Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men…. And they left their nets and followed Him.

9. Acts 2 Jerusalem – center of God’s Kingdom work Pilgrimage from all over the world Pentecost. Then the new disciples stayed in Jerusalem – Why? The new center of their world was not their geography, ethnicity, family, or occupation. Their Spirituality was now center of their world.

10. OUR PROBLEM IS WE HAVE COME TO THINK ABOUT CAREER PATH RATHER THAN CALLING PATH John 14: 1-6 Are you following? ( Anywhere, Anytime, Anything?) “I will follow you Lord, But…” don’t go together Jesus said you don’t have to know where you are going, He knows and CALLS US TO FOLLOW HIM… Which starts with consecration… leave land, nets, and family.
