(Monitoring students working on PBAs) Need to register Tutors before students since every student needs a tutor assigned to them. If the tutor does not have a SAS account, the system will automatically generate a user name and password. PBA Work Environment Setup Successfully Need Tutor’s: 1. Name 2.Email Address 3.SAS Account Name/ password 4.PPID (optional) 5.Area: Algebra I, Biology, and/or Literature) Begin REGISTERING TUTORS Need Tutor’s: 1. 2 ASSESSMENT COORDINATORS ROLE: Confidentiality within role Oversees the implementation of PBAs at the building level Provides an overview of the PBA concept, the online portal, and the project requirements to stakeholders Supports environment to ensure accuracy and security Ensures that students have participated in supplemental instruction consistent with the student’s educational program and have met all requirements necessary to qualify to participate in the PBA Meets with students who qualify for PBAs to review the importance of success on the project Registers students for the appropriate project and assigns tutors Determines number of modules available for completion at any one time (for students who have failed multiple modules/Keystone Exams) Determines timeline for completion, i.e., number of weeks to work on PBA, as desired Notifies student of PBA start date and ensures students and tutors have been instructed on online portal access and use Schedules students’ supervised sessions to work on projects before, during, and after school To access PBA: http://www.pba.pdesas.org To access Help: helpdesk@pdesas.orghelpdesk@pdesas.org or toll free at 1.877.973.3727 Hours: Monday, Wednesday, &Friday 8am -5pm Tuesday and Thursday, 10am -7pm ADMINISTRATION Manual This resource document represents CCIU’s most up to date understanding of the Keystone PBA guidelines provided by the PDE as of 3-18-2015.
