Outcomes and life chances These can be linked to the ECM For each point of the ECM explain why these outcomes are important for children and young people. What would the consequences be if a child or young person failed to achieve one of these points.

Children and young people’s voice Personal choices for children in the Early Years. The EYFS states that children’s needs and capabilities should be at the centre of planning and decision making. Children should have an equal right to be listened to and valued, and should be given opportunities to make choices and be involved in decisions that affect their daily lives.
