Most GCSEs now have Controlled Assessment. Controlled Assessment is similar to what used to be coursework. However, Controlled Assessment is different from coursework by having control which determines how and where you complete your assessments and what resources you may use. There is one subject who do not have controlled assessment, RE Calendar to be produced of timescales and deadlines for CA Controlled Assessment?

Homework is an integral part of high school life and we would appreciate your support in monitoring it closely. Homework timetable to be issued 1.5 – 2.5 hours per night Homework

Continue to check the student planner regularly. Ask your son/daughter to show you their work and explain what they are doing. Help them to plan their time in the evening. Know your son/daughter’s targets for each subject. Ask your son/daughter to give you regular updates on how well they are meeting/exceeding their targets. Encourage 100% attendance. Back up any work completed on the computer at home. Encourage your son/daughter to get involved How can I help?
