Comedies often include ◦ Greater emphasis on situations rather than characters ◦ A struggle for young lovers ◦ Deception (often mistaken identity) ◦ Multiple plots ◦ Different types of comedy, including slapstick, puns, practical jokes, and bawdy humor ◦ Pastoral setting ◦ Often ends with marriage
