What exactly is leadership? Leadership in its simplest form is INFLUENCE and the process and stewardship of that influence to… ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOAL WITH PEOPLE!

What do you want to accomplish with the people [or a person] on your team? Move them to the next level Get them to perform with excellence Create an effective culture Lead everyone to function as a team Spouse: Best friend, great marriage, kids see a positive example Teacher: Educate, make them better, move them to higher levels Coach: Player gets better, plays hard, ultimately win Conductor: Create great music through each band member

What now? + Make a copy of the 20 most admired traits in leaders list. Give a copy to the people you work with…all around you…and have them check off which traits they feel you have. Then go hide and do some evaluation. + Tackle the question, “Where do you lead from?” Then begin to determine and write down your leadership values and principles. + For 30 days in a row, use the four statements that confirm self- esteem and humility. Use them in context, and make them part of your character and leadership DNA. + Create a “connection journal.” Create one page [at least] for each team member. On that page, make a list of their personality styles, motivations, names of spouses and kids, what they are involved in, and their favorite restaurant, sports team, hobbies, etc. Use that information as conversation starters. Create conversations!
