Computer Events Computer Applications (2-hour test) Database Design & Application (1-hour test) Desktop Publication (2-hour test, 1 to 2 team members) Digital Design & Promotion (2 member team) Graphic Design (state event ONLY) Spreadsheet Applications (1-hour test) Word Processing I (1-hour test—grades 7-10 only) Word Processing II (1-hour test) Some of these Events also have a 1-hour written test

Team Events These events have a written test that the team takes collaboratively (together). At state the top 15 participate in a role play. Entrepreneurship Global Business Management Decision Making Management Information Systems Network Design Parliamentary Procedures (each member takes the written test separately and their scores are averaged)

Events Where Work in Pre-submitted These events are state ONLY. Computer Gaming & Simulation Programming Desktop Application Programming Digital Video Production E-Commerce Electronic Career Portfolio Web Site Development These are submitted by the State Registration date Most have a presentation part as well

Chapter Projects Each chapter may submit one project for each of these events. American Enterprise Project Business Plan Business Financial Plan Community Service Project Partnership with Business The report is submitted by the State Registration deadline A presentation is also given at state

Topics for Prejudged Projects or Events These events have topics that are assigned by FBLA nationals. Revisions/Modifications Marketing Team event with 2 0r 3 competitors Electronic Career Portfolio Now a performance event (portfolio is NOT prejudged) Entrepreneurship & Network Design Interactive/role play performance events Desktop Publishing Finished product must be submitted in color

How to Be Successful Read the guidelines very carefully. Double and triple check Check the performance rubric Memorize the points the judges are grading you on PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE Try new events, you never know the outcome Chapter Events have strict guidelines Make sure you follow them. Meet ALL DEADLINES.
