2 Funding of The Databases Most of the educational online databases that you will see today were purchased by Charles County Public Schools for use by teachers, students and parents. They are subscription databases, not available to the general public.They are subscription databases, not available to the general public. 4 Use of Resources These rich resources are available in the classroom, in the school media centers and on personal computers at home that have Internet access.

5 Data Base Features Each Database has a variety of “Special Features” For example, Sirs and Sirs Discoverer contain Decades, Spotlight of the Month, Pro Vs Con, Interactive Citizenship, Today’s News, Focus on Terrorism, and Natural Disasters, plus many more, in addition to the SEARCH feature.
