3. Security Officer Training On September 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 37members of the Perth Amboy Board of Education Security Force took a 24 hour Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) training course at AFI Security Training Institute in Metuchen, NJ.

4.  First Aid Through a combination of classroom lessons, PowerPoint presentations, videos, and discussions, these Security Officers covered a multitude of topics, including (but not limited to): the History of Private Security, Theft Prevention Report Writing

5. Managing Aggressive Behavior Punctuality Sexual Harassment Fire Prevention & Response

6. Homeland Security and Counter Terrorism Emergency Response Suspicious packages

7. Ethics & Professional Conduct Drugs & Alcohol in the Workplace Media Relations: what NOT to say

8. Hostile Environment Using Force

9. Legal Limits on Using Force, and Street Gangs. and street gangs.

10. Security Officer Training There were quizzes (both verbal and written) after many of the topics, both as a review and as a reinforcement of the lessons.

11. You’ll be happy to know that this… did not happen with any of Perth Amboy Board of Education’s Security Officers.
