Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Danish Institute for Fisheries Research EU Study program. ( Program no. 94/058, 96/002, 98/024 ) 1995-1998. Coordinated discard monitoring of fisheries directed towards cod. Participating countries: Sweden, Poland, Germany, Latvia and Denmark. 1998- 2001. Coordinated discard monitoring of all commercially important fisheries. Participating countries: Sweden, Poland, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Russia and Denmark. (Lithuania as observer). 2001 – 2005 DIFRES takes over the further development of the FishFrame database in close connection with the Baltic Assessment WG (WGBFAS). A North Sea clone of FishFrame is developed. 2005 – Introduction of FishFrame in the North Sea on test basis and on test basis the deliverance of cod assessment data input to (WGNSSK). Participating countries: All countries around the Baltic Sea and the North Sea.

Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Danish Institute for Fisheries Research Objectives To provide consistent centrally calculated biological data input across countries to assessment models (CANUM, WECA etc.) on dynamic aggregation level. To establish a logbook which describes the historical details of the raising procedure. To facilitate easy access to basic analysis of biological information on dynamic aggregation level. To provide the data background for additional analysis on un-aggregated data. To provide an easy overview of the sampling status on national and international level.

Effort statistics Obtained from official landing statistics. Biological information (from commercial fishery) Collected through market, harbour or sea sampling. Scientific surveys Obtained through ICES as a copy of the DATRAS database.
