TEKS (a) Introduction –(2) As students learn science skills, they identify components and processes of the natural world including the water cycle and the use of resources. –(10) Science concepts. The student knows that the natural world includes rocks, soil, water, and gases of the atmosphere. The student is expected to: (a) Describe and illustrate the water cycle; and (b) identify uses of natural resources.

Questions To Think About Why does water seem to disappear when you leave a glass of water in the hot sun all day? Where does rain actually come from? What is a cloud made of and how does it form?

Students will learn The different stages of the water cycle and the different terms –Evaporation –Condensation –Precipitation –Collection How clouds form

Learning Techniques Classroom discussions Hands on experience

Classroom Discussion Teacher will explain the stages of the water cycle to students and draw pictures and demonstrations on the board.

Hands on Experience Students will learn how to form a cloud in a plastic bottle using water and a blown out match that the teacher will light and drop into the bottle.
