7. 2 March We were impressed by the unusual school building and enjoyed Maria and Antonio’s hospitality showing us around. 8. Most noteworthy for us were the friendliness and helpfulness of the Portuguese people which we experienced on many occasions. Of course, the school (highly esteemed by the city counsel) and its representatives in this project are an excellent example of beautiful Portugal and its friendly and helpful population. She seems to have a short cut with St. Peter and we are anxious to know more about this next time we meet...

Nevertheless, it hasn’t lessen our happiness seeing each other again and sharing impressions and activities together. 11. 3 March Working session in the morning. We were very attentive and tried to agree with the proposals for Speculum issue n° 2. Our energetic Dutch guys Kees and Bert will lead our team along the final sprint of our first project year. Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies

12. Lisboa.... uma boa cidade! For us Lisboa was an amazing mix of the old and the new. The old we have explored to the maximum of our possibilities both with our hosts as well as independently. The whole city reminds the visitor of Lisboa's glorious past as a sailing and conquering nation. The old was very beautiful indeed. 13. We were also invited to buy one of the apartments for over 400.000 euros... But one then also has the chance to win a Ferrari of 190.000 euros... Encouraging this is for us in Europe as we can see how quickly development may arise from scratch once money and dedication are bent towards this purpose... Especially now when new European members are coming who were economically less fortunate than us Wow.. what a booming city! The new we admired very, very much. Not only were the modern buildings very nice but also the entire concept of city development has been very thoughtful of this new quarter near the Expo area. It is amazing to see how an area which was not so long ago the poorest part of town now has developed into its richest... Speculum-an on-line magazine for transversal policies

14. We loved to plunge ourselves into the Portuguese way of life. Most noteworthy for us were the friendliness and helpfulness of the Portuguese people which we experienced on many occasions. Together with the fine climate and the beauty of the country we can understand why so many northern Europeans have flocked into this wonderful country of Portugal. 15. Full day excursion to Sintra and Cascais and 4 March It was clear you have done everything you could do to show us your city. In our hearts we bear the gratitude for the chance we had to meet you all and all the energy and efforts you made to make our visit a great success. Though the sea wind was quite strong it was unable to scatter our happy family. The moments spent together will forever remain in our memories as unforgettable and most valuable impressions.
