1 Office of Technology Integration Information Services – Application Development IS programmers use a variety of environments, most with at least a “development”, “staging” and “production” environment: NWRDC mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2, Batch, TSO, etc.) J2EE/Apache clustered Linux environment (“Secure Apps” tab in Bb) ColdFusion Linux environment.NET Windows Server environment The programmers are divided into teams that do the work requested for specific business offices on campus (and in some cases are directly funded by that office). They work physically together to share ideas and support. Collectively this group manages the “student systems” software environments (e.g., enterprise-wide, but non-OMNI/PeopleSoft).
