The Big Difference Delivery Time: From Canada11-19 weeks Local Purchase 4-6 weeks Cost : at least $63 per ton cheaper In 2008 the Canadian government untied all food aid, thus reducing delivery times and purchase and transportation costs. Last year – Foodgrains Bank saved more than $2 million through untied food aid.
