Short Message Service (SMS) SMS includes text messages and various non- real-time, low bandwidth data services (such as LBS session initiation and M2M). Three solutions: –Traditional circuit-switched SMS (ANSI-41/SS7) using C.S0015 message format. –Transport level mapping using IMS and C.S0015 message format. –Application level mapping using an instant messaging client.
