Amount of Time Spent On the Internet: Does It Affect Grades Depending on Gender? By Chelsea Shang, Period F (Science)
2
The Theory The Theory To find out if the average amount of hours spent on the computer or the Internet affected grades depending on gender. I think that the result will be ‘Yes’ because the Internet is known to affect people negatively due to how distracting it is.
3
The Method After testing a class, convert the grades to GPA and discover the mean of the hours spent for each gender. Create a graph or chart (both if possible) and use them to find the answer.
4
Data The scatter plot graph was used to see how much of a difference gender made. The result was 0.1925, a number very close to zero. The gender difference in GPA was only 0.3, while the time difference was 0.35. ______

Outside Influence-Cons Stress, which could lead to sleep deprivation, gradually lowers grades. Using phones to text/surf the Internet causes anxiety from a personal obligation to stay on social networks. Games that lower GPA over a short period of time are the more violent type (Mortal Kombat, Halo, etc.). Two titles were released for the PC.
7
Outside Influence-Pros Some computer/video games increase the ability to multi-task due to that they need you to focus on more than one thing at a time. 90% of computer games have at least a bit of education and fact. War, one very common game plot, is all about strategy. And your brain.
8
Conclusion The time spent on a computer does not affect grades, because each person has a different level of tolerance for anxiety and stress, along with self-control on playing games.
