Sponsored by Middleton Cheney Parish Council In partnership with South Northants District Council Localism Act - new rights and powers for communities and individuals to enable them to get more involved in planning for their areas. Neighbourhood Planning allows us to say where we think new houses, businesses and shops should go – and what they should look like. The Neighbourhood Plan: 1.Will be submitted by the Parish Council to South Northants DC 2.Must pass an Examination stage – An Independent Examiner assesses legal compliance issues 3.Must be subjected to a Referendum in the Village 4.Will become a statutory (legal) planning instrument. What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
