I Really Enjoy Doing This-Why? I get to talk about myself for one hour And you have to listen! I get to complain about my aches and pains and you have to listen (I think!) I get discover how much you really know about my disease/injury I get to make some new friends

Things to Think About *What is my disease/injury? *How did it happen? What were the symptoms? (pain, loss of feeling, etc) Would therapy be needed? What kind? OT, PT, Acupuncture, Massage, Chiropractic, E-stem, etc.? What would you do first if you had a patient come in at PRMC Shock Trauma and had my symptoms? Does this type disease/injury hurt any other organs? Do you think I am taking any medications? If so, what kind and how much? Do you think there are any side effects?

Other Thoughts/Questions Do you think I required in-patient treatment? If so, how long? Was there any paralysis? Out-patient treatment? How long? Any surgeries? If so what kind, where and for what? Any major life-threatening circumstances? Are there any problems now?

Surgeries/Treatments/Procedures Green Filter –inserted at Shock Trauma Neck –Laminectomy-Dr. Ducker-Annapolis-C3 to C8 Needle Injections – burn nerves/cord. Stomach Pump-bachlophen Acupuncture Aqua Therapy Botox Injections Massage Etc.

Where I am Now? Still taking extensive amount of meds Meds have strong side effects-especially lack of energy and stomach sickness Fall on occasion and it hurts! Using v-pap and oxygen Difficulty in walking long distances It could be worse-I am going to continue working!

Current Meds PAIN: 1.Methadone-(pain)-(10 mg at 6 am/10 mg at 3 pm/10 mg at 10 pm)- Total daily intake=30 mg per day- 2.Nortriptyline -(neuropathic pain)-2-pills –Once per day-Non-narcotic. 3Lyrica-(pain)-300 mg per day- (150 mg at 6 am/150 mg at 7 pm)(red pill is 75 mg and white is 50 mg) ANXIETY: 1.Wellbutrin-(Anxiety) 1-150 mg tablet every other day-300 mg tablet every other day-total of 150 or 300 mg per day (Started taking 75 mg 12- 5-07) SPASTICITY/FLEXIBILITY: 1.Baclofen Intrathecal Pump for daily baclofen usage. Currently the pump is dispensing approximately 435 milicures per day.
