Time management skills Written, practical, investigative Learning Log – every 2/3 weeks Homework diary – to be signed each week Spelling and Reading Independent – child needs to ask if there is something they don’t understand. Week to week homework January onwards – some homework may be emailed and children can access in school or at home – email safety!

Spelling – groups and individuals Forms of writing – link to topic mostly Reading – assessment completed – children will be reading as an individual – book suitable for them. Complete written follow up work in school – usually a three week cycle. Talking and Listening Grammar – taught throughout forms of writing Presentation Spelling

Change in levels – focus on the using aspect of maths Covering the areas identified on Learning Plan Monthly focus on investigative/problem solving maths Weekly assessment of that weeks’ maths

R.E Mixture of NEELB, Delving Deeper and Alive O. Children making Sacrament of Confirmation will be prepared by Mr Mulcahy. World Faith - Judaism P.D & M Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, Games and Swimming. Possibility of coaching again this year Other opportunities as they arise

Circle time P7 Programme as well as looking at self identity, friendship o covers areas such as drugs, alcohol, making decisions and peer pressure. Relationships and Sexuality Class and Pupil Council

NFER Standardised tests will be complete end of September Current groups may be reassigned based on analysis of results Children may move ‘groups’ throughout the year based on the needs of your child

Levels have changed – 2012 Level 4 is expected level for P7 child Levels based on whole years’ work – will be moderated by CCEA Levels to be submitted to CCEA by March
