We pray together: Loving Creator, source of all life…

You call us to be prophets to read the signs of the times in light of our faith.

You call us to respond to the needs of our world with a steadfast voice and an unwavering heart.

by the very lifestyles we lead. You call us to be witnesses to your truth

So we pray that you bless us today.

so that they may be open for us to see that a new world is possible. Bless our eyes

So that we may be attentive to your word as it is spoken around us Bless our ears

So that they may be ready to receive new ideas and open to new possibilities Bless our minds.

So that they may be ready to do your work, to build your kingdom here and now Bless our hands.

So that they may be disturbed and encouraged to strive for a world where human dignity is respected Bless our hearts.

And may the Holy Spirit give us the resolve to become leaders for today, so that together we can build a better world for tomorrow. We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen

Compassionate and loving God, you created the world for us all to share, a world of beauty and plenty. Create in us a desire to live simply, so that our lives may reflect your generosity.

Creator God, You gave us responsibility for the earth, a world of riches and delight. Create in us a desire to live sustainably, so that those who follow after us may enjoy the fruits of your creation.

God of peace and justice, You give us the capacity to change, to bring about a world that mirrors your wisdom. Create in us a desire to act in solidarity, so that the pillars of injustice crumble and those now crushed are set free. Amen © Linda Jones / CAFOD

Lord, may your blessings be on us as we end this day. May the promises that we made here today lead us to action. May we go forth in joy with a renewed sense of hope and commitment to inspire all that we meet. We pray this through Christ our Lord. Amen. Thanks be to God!
