As part of this program, trained mentors from Fuji Xerox, work with students on social and relationship building skills to support them as they begin the transition into high school. The T ransitions program runs over eight one hour sessions from Thursday 9 June 2011 until 27 October 2011.

The transitions program is kindly hosted by Fuji Xerox. The workers are chosen as the students’ mentors for the session. In a group, students discuss things such as goals and how to achieve them.

Just before the session, students are offered lunch and a cup of juice. They then are briefed about the session with Nathy and their mentors.

Students work competitively in their groups with their mentors to come up with creative ideas, games and presentations such as; Edward De Bono’s Thinking Hats Zip, Zap, Zoom Mirror, Mirror Teamwork to Create (ice-cream machine/smartboard)
