Procedures BIG IDEA: F ollow procedures in the RtI Procedural Handbook Important Points: Orange files should be updated periodically and follow students within the district Parents/caregivers participate in the process and receive communication about RtI yearly (brochure at P/T conferences in November) Each school must have a Problem Solving Team (Tier 3)

PBIS Self Assessment Survey (SAS) Assessment of effective behavior support systems Examines the status and need for improvement of four behavior support systems o school-wide discipline systems o non-classroom management systems (e.g., cafeteria, hallway, playground) o classroom management systems o systems for individual students engaging in chronic problem behaviors Results are used for: o annual action planning o internal decision making o assessment of change over time o awareness building of staff o team validation
