14 Bologna supports Bologna CINECA develops ESSE3 in full compliance with the Bologna Process action lines, toward the creation of the EHEA (European Higher Education Area). –Credit Systems: ECTS, Diploma Supplement –Quality Assurance Module: has the objective of creating an information system which will collect and make available supporting Quality Assurance practices documentation to relevant stakeholders in Higher Education Institutions. In 2013 it was turned into a TEMPUS project targeting the Central Asian countries.

15 Data for the QA of the Courses ESSE3 publishes data for the “Monitoring and Results” standard for the Quality Assurance of the Courses: D1 - Monitoring of the entrance students the assessment of the mastery of the admission requirements by the entrance students enrolled in the first course year; the number of the entrance students enrolled in the first course year, their secondary school of provenance and their geographical place of origin.

16 Data for the QA of the Courses D2 - Monitoring of the students’ learning the number of students enrolled in the didactic unit in the academic year under consideration; the number of students who have passed the examination in the academic year under consideration; the medium value of the grades attributed to all the students who have passed the examination; the grade variance.

17 Data for the QA of the Courses D3 - Monitoring of the students’ studies progression the number of students who pass from one course year to the successive one and the number of dropouts; the median and the mean value, with the associated variance, of the number of ECTS credits with which students pass from one course year to the successive one; the number of graduates within the official length of the programme.

19 The Italian SP’s QA System Starting with the 2013/2014 academic year the Italian Ministry requires that all the study programs must accomplish the QA standards defined by the National Agency for the Evaluation of University and Research (ANVUR). Every year the Italian Universities must compile the Annual Unique Form (SUA-CDS) of the study programs, collecting the information for the administration end the QA of the study program.

20 The SUA-CDS The SUA-CDS contains the following areas, very similar to the DOQUP standards and requirements: A)Needs and objectives –Consultations of organizations representative of the production –Educational objectives –Admission requirements –Learning outcomes –Final examination
