What is PASS? PASS stands for “Professional Association for SQL Server”. PASS is an independent, not-for-profit organization run by and for the community. With a growing membership of more than 100K, PASS supports data professionals throughout the world who use the Microsoft data platform. PASS strives to fulfill its mission by: Facilitating member networking and the exchange of information through our local and virtual chapters, online events, local and regional events, and international conferences Delivering high-quality, timely, technical content for in-depth learning and professional development PASS was co-founded by CA Technologies and Microsoft Corporation in 1999 to promote and educate SQL Server users around the world. Since its founding, PASS has expanded globally and diversified its membership to embrace professionals using any Microsoft data technology.

What is Virtual Chapters? PASS Virtual Chapters (VC) are interest-based forums that unite the SQL Server community through live webcasts with top SQL Server experts, online forums and resources – including an archive of past presentations, and special training events. Whether you are a DBA, developer, or BI professional, there is a VC for you. We also have VCs focused on professional development and Women in Technology, as well as language-based VCs. PASS has 22 Virtual Chapters to choose from.

What is Local PASS Chapter? PASS Chapters are local user groups that meet regularly in communities around the world to share their passion and knowledge about Microsoft SQL Server and Business Intelligence. Each Chapter has its own style, leadership, and schedule to meet members’ needs. And with over 250 PASS Chapters worldwide – and growing – there’s likely a group in your area. PASS Chapters are a free and easily accessible resource for learning more about SQL Server and connecting with other SQL Server professionals in your area. They are also your local connection to the PASS Community.

Punjab PASS Punjab PASS is new local chapter (user group) established in Chandigarh (Punjab). This user group is for users of different Microsoft Technologies (SQL Server,.Net, Windows, ADFS, Hyper -V etc.). As a team, our focus is on the various Microsoft Technologies. We strongly believe in bringing all the technology experts in around region on table where they can share their experiences, knowledge, thoughts, vision with the community users. We will have regular meetings and anyone can JOIN.
