1 SharePoint You must use Internet Explorer Single click only on links and buttons There are two handouts 1.Importing a Web Part into SharePoint 2.Adding Google Gadgets to SharePoint http://millburyschools.sharepointsite.com/elmwood or shaw/your logon name/

2 Right click on a blank space on the desktop and select properties. Click on the settings tab.

3 Slide the button until it says 1024 by 768 Then press OK

4 Signing in to your SharePoint site

5 Click on the sign in button

6 Enter your user name and password. Do Not check the remember my password box or anyone using you computer can log into your site and make changes.

7 You are logged in when the sign in button has changed to Modify This Workspace

8 How change your SharePoint password

9 Click on Site Settings

10 click on update my information

11 Click on change password

12 Enter old password and new password twice and then press ok

13 Site Settings Click on Site Settings To change the Color Theme of your pages.

14 To change the color theme click on Apply theme to site

15 Compass is the default theme. Click on a different theme and you will see a preview of it on the left. When you find one you like, click on apply and wait for the changes to compete.

16 Add Delete and Order your web pages

17 To add, delete and order your web page tabs click on modify this workspace

18 Click on Add Pages on the menu

19 Type in the name of the new page hit the add button.

20 I added the example tab/page. Drag parts into the columns to add content to the page

21 To delete a tab/page click on Manage Pages

22 Click in the box that has order in it

23 Click on delete

24 Select the page you want to delete and click the delete button. You will get a warning message in case you selected the wrong page.

25 To change the order of the tabs/pages click on Manage Pages

26 To change the order select the page and press either the up or down button. The tabs are top/left to bottom/right. When you have the order you want press Apply.

27 To add content to web parts already on the page click on the add link in each section.

28 After clicking the add new link you are here. You can type the web address in or copy and paste it in the URL box. The description box is what will show on the page ex. Google Notes are seen when looking at the Links list. Click save and close when done.

29 To get to the list view for any web part just click on the title of the part. Click on the word Links

30 In list mode you can change the order of the links as well as create a new link by clicking on the buttons in the tool bar.

31 To delete a link- hover your mouse over the link and click on down arrow select Delete Item. You will get a warning message in case this isn’t what you wanted to do.

32 To add a Web Part click on Modify this Workspace click on Add Web Parts

33 You can drag an item onto your page if it is in the list. To see more Web Parts click in the Create Lists box and select Browse.

34 The default group is the Millbury Public Schools Com… group. There are 42 web parts in this group. You can look through all the parts here by clicking on the word next. Drag the one you want onto the page where you want it.

35 Delete unwanted web parts The three web parts that do not work are 1.Discussion 2.Digital Drop Box 3.Surveys

36 To delete a web part click on the small down pointed arrow in the description bar and press Modify Shared Web Part.

37 The web part is now outlined. Click on the down pointed arrow again and select Delete. You will get a warning message in case this is not what you wanted to do.
