2 It’s easy to use your ULM Faculty Email Account as a Web site. Publishing Web Pages It’s easy to create, edit, and publish to the Web with “Mozilla”.

5 Step 1: Edit a Web Page Open Mozilla Composer In Mozilla, open Composer: File => New => Composer Page Edit a Web page Just start typing! Mozilla Composer is very much like a word processor. Publish your Web page You only need to set up your Publishing Site once.

6 Step 2: Set Publish Site In Mozilla, open Composer: File => New => Composer Page Then, select Edit => Publishing Site Settings. Defined Site Name: When you define a Site Name, you define the settings of your site. Publishing Address:Type in this address; this is the ULM faculty Web site server location. HTTP Address: This is the location to view your Web page on the Internet. User Name: This is your ULM faculty email login. Password: This is your ULM faculty email password. Please Note:Substitute your_ULM_email_login with your own ULM faculty email login.

7 Step 3: File Name In Composer: Publish => Publish (Tab) Site Name: Your Site Name should appear here. If it does not, select it. Page Title::This is the internal page title for your Web page. File Name: This is the actual name of your file. Use.html as the suffix. Note: Use lowercase characters. Don’t use spaces. Avoid unusual characters. Note: index.html is the “default” file name for your “home page”.

8 Step 4: Publish In Composer: Publish Page => Settings (Tab) Site Name: Your Site Name should appear here. Publishing Address:The publishing address should appear here. HTTP Address The HTTP address of your index.html page, or “home page”, of your Web site. User Name:Enter your own ULM email login. Password:Enter your password. Click on “Publish” to publish or “upload” this file to your ULM account..

9 Congratulations! To access your Web page, type the entire address, shown below, into the Mozilla browser (NOT Mozilla Composer) window: http://www.ulm.edu/ ~your_ULM_email_login/index.html Note: Substitute your_ULM_email_login with your ULM faculty email login. After you have published a file successfully, Composer saves the publish settings. This means that you can easily modify your online Web page and publish the changes with just a click of the Publish button!
