2 Aim The Kultur Consortium aims to create an institutional repository model for research in the creative and applied arts

3 Objectives Digital repository model for research in the creative arts. Investigate Indexing and Cataloguing of visual digital objects (Metadata). Assess Preservation and Access issues for visual digital material. Shared practice across the sector. Establish cross-sectoral partnerships.

4 Partnership Lead Institution: University of Southampton Project Partners: University of the Arts, London University for the Creative Arts Visual Arts Data Service

5 Method Project Board and Steering Group - Oversee. Project Manager – Management of Work Packages. Project Officers - Advocacy and Population. Technical Officers – Software Development. VADS providing IPR guidance and metadata consultancy.

6 Outcomes Two specialist repositories (UCA and UAL). Greater understanding of research in Art and Design. Greater recognition of Practice-based Research. Greater understanding of Metadata for Art and Design. A Rights Framework for the Visual Arts.
