„Agropuzzle” meeting in Poland 25-31 March 2012 UNESCO Heritage Presentation

Directions for creating a multimedia presentation by the participants of Polish mobility within the Leonardo da Vinci „Agropuzzle” project

The aim of the presentation: Each group (country) should prepare a presentation in their mother tongue, as well as in English, for every place visited. Each presentation should show the characteristic features of running a UNESCO Heritage enterprise in Poland on the basis of:  Characteristic features listed (following slides)  Personal remarks and feelings not included in the chart  Photos taken on the spot

1. Krakow - The Old City Advantage – The old city of Krakow has very beautiful Gothic architecture focusing on the central square, the castle of Babel and the churches. The old city has a good nightlife. Disadvantage – we found too much trafic on the way to and from the hotel. Advertising - If your dream is to be king in a fairytale town, come here to Krakow and meet your queen.

2. Former German Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz Advantage - Unique place, shocking experience. Each man must experience to learn from this. Disadvantage – None Advertising - To assess the value of human life and to honor the man and the humanity you must at least once to visit the Auschwitz concentration camp.

3. Salt mine museum in Wieliczka Advantage - A really beautiful place and an amazing work done by people there under very difficult circumstances wich makes you appreciate the facilities we have in our time. Disadvantage – None Advertising - Have you ever imagined a church from salt 125 meters below the surface. Come in to see Wieliczka salt mine.

Your opinions about the places visited 1. The most shocking experience was the visit to Auschwitz concentration camp. You can not understand the horrors of Nazi acts if you do not visit it. 2. The Wieliczka Salt Mine was the first salt mine we have ever visitied which differs from other types of mines and it was really a beautiful experience. 3. The bat cave was something very beautiful but not unique. 4. The city was very beautiful and we will definitely come back sometime. 5. 6.

Thank you
