3. CRP HISTORY 1996 CAPTA (Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act) Reauthorization 1996 CAPTA (Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act) Reauthorization –CAPTA established in 1974 –Established requirement for state plan detailing compliance with CAPTA requirements in order to receive CAPTA grant
