Purpose FDOT to establish a Statewide Bicycle and Pedestrian Count Program to Assess bicycle and pedestrian use in Florida in terms of number of people walking and bicycling at a given location on our road network system Better understand the extent and severity of bicycle and pedestrian crashes Comply with Map 21’s performance based planning Measuring Performance of non-motorized system

Next Steps Develop a Task Work Oder that provides Program Goals and Objectives through Stakeholder Engagement Technology recommendations Location recommendations Frequency of count recommendations Partnering recommendations Coordination with Safety Data recommendation Bike-Ped Count Database Recommendation Recommendations for FDOT for a statewide bike-ped count program Coordination with MAP21 & FDOT performance measures
