Background (how the free trial came about) The Korean Consortium of North America sponsored an open meeting on Korean databases in 2002 Two of major three vendors attended & explored the idea of a consortial arrangement for overseas libraries The vendors decided to offer free trial to all interested for 3-6 months, which eventually extended to a whole year

Vendors Comments A meaningful experience. Although not led to sales, achieved other goals. Assessed the Overseas Market. (Conclusion: Sales Potential not High.) Publicized the Company and Products Identified Potential Buyers Service to the Korean Studies Community.
