3 Background (how the free trial came about) The Korean Consortium of North America sponsored an open meeting on Korean databases in 2002 Two of major three vendors attended & explored the idea of a consortial arrangement for overseas libraries The vendors decided to offer free trial to all interested for 3-6 months, which eventually extended to a whole year
