8. Combining Sentences Sentence combining helps to reduce the number of repeated words or ideas and makes sentences less choppy.

11. Inserting phrases… I love the movies. I love to eat popcorn. I love to eat popcorn at the movies.

12. Using and, but, or or… I love the movies. I love to eat popcorn. –I love to got to the movies and eat popcorn.

13. Using and, but, or or I can got to the football game. I can go to my friend’s birthday party. –I can go to the football game or my friend’s birthday party.
