2 Engineering/Physics Tips Come to class (try to get a schedule you know you can hack) Start assignments early Be responsible Supplemental work is critical Ask questions Dont care what any body thinks

3 Engineering/Physics Tips Lectures may appear to be boring Attention spans are shorter than ever Thinking is hard Remember: Classes are Cooperative

4 The Nature of Math/Physics/Engr It takes a lot of effort for everyone No short-cuts are generally possible Make your courses your job Avoid too many class hours for your outside schedule Guidelines: 40 work hours --- <= 6 school hours 20 work hours --- <= 12 school hours

5 Supplemental Work Read sections before class in which they are discussed Start early on HW (VVVVVVI) Talk to others Talk to Instructor Work on your own Work in a group Look up things on the web GET INTO IT!
