“To bring, or not to bring…” Laptops (it’s dusty out there!) –Your primary writing task will be doing your journal - if you’re more comfortable on your computer then bring it - if you just want to write in a notebook, bring that Plan on doing field notes in a small notebook Email connectivity: –Worst case: you will be able to use one of the station computers to read/send email –Best case: you will be able to connect your own computer to the network –As of this point, we don’t know if the best case will be possible

Journaling VERY, VERY IMPORTANT !!!!!! Plan on doing a lot of it Hopefully you’ve been writing already Pre-trip –Expectations, what you look forward to, what you’re worried about, what do you think you’re going to get out of the trip During trip - journal components –Science field notes –Exploration field notes –Classroom leveraging notes –Personal learning and experiences
