PROVING FLIGHTS REQUIREMENTS
Normally not for an established air operator Observe and evaluate the inflight program No passengers but company personnel may be carried Well planned with clear objectives

PROVING FLIGHTS OBJECTIVES
Compliance with procedures in Operations Manual Evaluate Facilities and equipment provided to Flight Crew Support provided by operational control Ground handling of the aircraft En-route facilities

PROCESS FOR PROVING FLIGHTS
International 10 hours/Domestic 5 hours If Practical 4 route segments, some at night Operator briefed and 10 days prior a test plan Inspector to develop proving flight scenarios Operator debriefed after each segment to take corrective action Detailed debriefing after completion of segments

PROVING FLIGHT SCENARIOS
Essentially routine operations Diversion to alternate airport MEL or CDL situations Performance problems Hazardous cargo Simulated aircraft emergencies Simulated cabin emergencies

POSSIBLE DEFICIENCIES
Flight Crew/Cabin Crew not properly trained Numerous aircraft deficiencies Inadequate load control Inadequate operational control Unacceptable maintenance procedures Improper aircraft servicing/ground handling
