4 Regulator ATM Safety Policy As part of the National Civil Aviation Policy it is the policy of the ATM Safety Regulator to meet two safety objectives: Ensure that the ATM service providers meet the standards and requirements set by the CAA. Ensure that the services delivered by the ATM service providers are always at least at the National ATM Acceptable Level of Safety.

5 Regulator ATM Safety Policy - Example The National Civil Aviation Administration has safety as its highest priority for the regulation of civil aviation and in the provision of air traffic management services. The safety regulation of air traffic management service providers for airspace and aerodromes is a vital function for achieving and maintaining high levels of safety in the delivery of air traffic management services. The regulation will, as an ongoing safety oversight of service providers and services, be carried out impartially, independent of other interests and in a fair and transparent manner, based on published ATM Safety Regulatory Requirements.

6 Service Provider – Safety Policy The Safety Policy is the expression of managements commitment to safety. A description of the methods and processes to be used in achieving the safety objectives. Underlining that safety is of highest priority in the organisation.

We are committed to implementing, developing and improving our Safety Management System to meet and wherever possible exceed national and international standards and requirements. We will ensure that all our activities are performed to the highest reasonable level of safety.

8 Service Provider – Safety Policy (continued) We are committed to: Develop and embed a safety culture in the organisation recognizing the importance of safety activities and safety behavior; Clearly define safety responsibilities and accountabilities to all positions in the safety organisation as well as the line organisation; Allocate the necessary resources to the safety activities; Integrate safety activities into all activities related to the provision of services;

9 Service Provider – Safety Policy (continued) We are committed to: Promote safety throughout the organisation using any possible means; Ensure that all staff is adequately trained according to their safety responsibilities; Create an environment which encourages all staff to contribute to the overall safety of our activities.
