Life Before Tableau Custom count tool Rudimentary interface with no ability to visualize or analyze data Limited size of input data files even with Excel 2007 OR clients had to have a method to load raw data files into other database tools Reports, extracts and PDF’s took much longer to create and publish

Our mission and objectives were clear… We needed a way to ‘productize’ our data to provide: A user-friendly, visually pleasing interface A quick-to-market solution A cost effective tool More than “counts” Level of sophistication Room for growth… …but our solution was not so clear until…

Tableau arrived on the scene… Internal usage of tool Confidence in tool Due diligence of compatibility with data Request for productizing trial Within two days, we had a product demo ready to debut…which it did the following week at a national convention.

Positive feedback from clients Short learning curve Ease of use for exporting and reporting Requests for additional data assets to be productized More requests from sales and product marketing for more products using Tableau for additional markets and data assets
