3. 4 Outcomes of WGISS-27, Toulouse Request from CEOS Plenary Chair, Dr. Darasri Dowreang, GISTDA: We would like to request that all CEOS Working Groups, Constellation Leads, CEOS GEO Task Leads, identify at your earliest opportunity the demonstrable outcomes of your efforts – on 2 timescales: by Nov 2009 as an interim review point (at the CEOS and GEO Plenaries); and by the GEO Ministerial in late 2010.

WGISS input to new CEOS-led GEO Task DA-09-01b Work closely with and support CEOS Virtual Constellations (GEO DA-07-03) Continue with ACC and LSI IGs and Portal Projects Work closely with collaborate with CEOS Working Group on Calibration and Validation Dialogue this meeting on QA4EO and Data Quality How can WGISS best support the continuation and expansion of the CEOS Data Democracy initiative? Important initiative for both CEOS and GEOSS

7. 8 Plenary Charge to Subgroups, 1 WGISS Four Current Themes Satellite Arm of GEO Recommendations for working actively with CEOS Constellations Recommendations for working actively with WGCV Determine what Project Outcomes relevant to Data Democracy purposes and recommend to Plenary WGISS Subgroups Charge Focus on overall objective of WGISS: to facilitate data and information management and services for users and data providers Recommendations coming from Outcomes on Interest Groups and Projects Recommend Strategic Directions and New Work from Subgroup technical discussions, which could be across Interest Groups Recommendations from the Outcomes of the special Joint Subgroup Session on Security and subsequent discussions

8. 9 Plenary Charge to Subgroups, 2 WGISS Subgroups Charge, continued Provide recommendations for Demonstrable Outcomes, on two timescales as requested by Plenary Chair. November 2009 November 2010 WGISS Plenary will provide a report of WGISS Demonstrable Outcomes to the Plenary and Secretariat after this meeting. Report needs to fill gaps in WGISS technical expertise and needs for support from Agencies for WGISS Exec to act upon What expertise needed for Interest Groups to request CEOS agencies? Are specific agency resources (monetary, participation, data contributions, etc.) needed to be placed toward a WGISS Interest Group or Project? All recommendations to be included in Subgroups Reports to be presented to WGISS Plenary Friday, May 15.
