Statements Standard lambda labels format definition to achieve interoperability in wavelength switched all-optical networks. Label format based on ITU-T: G.694.1 – DWDM G.694.2 – CWDM Foreseen environments: Multi-vendor Multi-domain Definition of GMPLS signaling requirements considering wavelength continuity

Updates in -03 version (1/2) Section 4.2: Channel Spacing (C.S.) values modified in lambda label old (-02) new (-03) +----------+---------+ | C.S(GHz) | Value | +----------+---------+ | 100 | 1 | +----------+---------+ | 50 | 2 | +----------+---------+ | 25 | 3 | +----------+---------+ | 12.5 | 4 | +----------+---------+ |Future use| 5 - 15 | +----------+---------+ | C.S(GHz) | Value | +----------+---------+ | 12.5 | 1 | +----------+---------+ | 25 | 2 | +----------+---------+ | 50 | 3 | +----------+---------+ | 100 | 4 | +----------+---------+ |Future use| 5 - 15 | +----------+---------+ C.S. ascending order to descending order for future definition of narrower channel spacing (e.g. 6.25GHz)

Updates in -03 version (2/2) Section 4.1: CWDM centre value changed from 1470nm to 1471 according to G.694.2 definition. old: Wavelength (nm) = 1470 nm +/- n * 20 nm new: Wavelength (nm) = 1471 nm +/- n * 20 nm Appendix: Two examples were added. DWDM example (Appendix A.) CWDM example (Appendix B.) Section 3: Some editorial fixes on Interconnecting details Figure (fig.2) and related explanation

Updates in -04 version (1/2) As a result of discussions with Q6/15 last Friday, some minor changes were made. Section 4.1, 4,2, 4.3: Frequency calculation value n was changed from an integer to twos- complement integer to specify negative, zero or positive. DWDM: Frequency (THz) = 193.1 THz + n * channel spacing (THz) CWDM: Wavelength (nm) = 1471 nm + n * 20 nm

Updates in -04 version (2/2) Section 4.2, 4.3: Reserved Value 0 was added to Grid and C.S. values. +----------+---------+ | Grid | Value | +----------+---------+ | Reserved | 0 | +----------+---------+ |ITU-T DWDM| 1 | +----------+---------+ |ITU-T CWDM| 2 | +----------+---------+ |Future use| 3 - 7 | +----------+---------+ | C.S(GHz) | Value | +----------+---------+ | Reserved | 0 | +----------+---------+ | 100 | 1 | +----------+---------+ | 50 | 2 | +----------+---------+ | 25 | 3 | +----------+---------+ | 12.5 | 4 | +----------+---------+ |Future use| 5 - 15 | +----------+---------+ C.S. value (DWDM)Grid value +----------+---------+ | C.S(nm) | Value | +----------+---------+ | Reserved | 0 | +----------+---------+ | 20 | 1 | +----------+---------+ |Future use| 2 - 15 | +----------+---------+ C.S. value (CWDM)
