1 Slavery, Slaughter, & Subjugation  Long American tradition of treating anyone who is not white and not male not very well  The fortunes of white servants are directly tied to that of Native Americans and black slaves  From the subjugation of other whites through the slaughter of Natives to the horror slavery, the outcome was never guaranteed  FORMING THE SYSTEM OF SLAVERY WAS A DELIBERATE CHOICE
