How to Make Shamrock Rice Krispie Treats for St. Patrick’s Day!

Ingredients You Will Need ¼ cup Butter 1 (10 ounce) package marshmallows 1 (2 ¼) jar green sugar candy sprinkles 6 cups Rice Krispies Green Food coloring

Tools you will need Large saucepan Spatula 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan Butter, non-stick spray, or cookie sheet Small heart-shaped cookie cutter

Directions 1. In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. 2. Add marshmallows and continue to stir until the marshmallows have completely melted. 3. Add green sprinkles, stir well. 4. Remove from heat.

Directions 5. Stir in Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal coating them well with the melted marshmallow mixture.

Directions 6. Butter pan, spray with non-stick spray or line with wax paper. 7. Using buttered or silicone spatula, press the mixture evenly into a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.

Directions 8. Let rice krispies cool. 9. Using the small heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut 4 hearts for each shamrock and a small rectangle for the stem. 10. Press hearts together at the points and place the stem in between the two bottom hearts.

Helpful Hints! Just a reminder: -For more green, use more coloring. -For easier cutting, press thinner krispies and use a cookie sheet!
