AmeriGas’ Fossil Fuels and Going Green 2012-2013 Grant Application for Teachers AmeriGas’ Fossil Fuels and Going Green Program is offering grants up to $250 for Kindergarten through eight grade, which can be used in promoting any type of science projects and science literature in the classroom. To apply for the AmeriGas Fossil Fuel and Going Green Program, please complete the form below and complete a five hundred word essay that includes, but is not limited to: the Illinois or Common Core Goals, Learning Standards and Benchmarks, an outline of your classroom project, along with your desired outcome from the science unit. Include how you will use the money and how it will benefit your classroom. The project must be centered around fossil fuels, and Going Green, and it must include at least one day of providing instruction about Amerigas’ propane (lesson plans for the Amerigas Propane are included). There can be classroom presentations given by an Amerigas representative from the teacher and students, career fairs, and school science fairs. Remember to be creative to help make this unit exciting and valuable to each and every student. The project can be intergrated into other core subjects, such as reading, math, social studies, and physical education. Grant applications that are not properly filled out, illegible handwriting or turn in past the due date will result in the denial of your application. Requests to use the grant funds for field trips, consumable goods, propane cylinders, or any other item that can’t be used in the classroom, will result in the denial of your application. You may contact the Amerigas’ Fossil Fuel and Going Green Grant Program Coordinator for help with this application at (800)-123-4567. Applications must be received AmeriGas District office by 5:00pm on September 15, 2012. ***Teachers who are selected to receive the funding for the grant will be notified by mail and phone call by October 15, 2012. The applicant must sign and return the agreement letter before funds can be distributed. A final report, receipts, and a detailed reflection will be due by April 1, 2013. A check list will be mailed to all selected applicants on February 1, 2013 as a friendly reminder of what is due on April 1 st, 2013.

To apply for the AmeriGas Fossil Fuel and Going Green Program, please complete the form below and complete a five hundred word essay that included, but is not limited to: the Illinois or Common Core Learning Standard, Goals, and Benchmarks, an outline of your classroom project, along with your desired outcome from the science unit.
