In December 2008, it increased to 257 Treatment Plants, reaching 11,9 million inhabitants, achieving 83 % coverage. In almost eight years, 166 Treatment Plants have been constructed, increasing the coverage to 63 points. Treatment of waste water is still lacking for 2,5 people in the country.
