3 The Four Spheres of Earth’s Environment Biosphere - any place occupied by living things. Lithosphere - the Earth’s crust, including rocks, minerals, and soil Hydrosphere - water (liquid or solid) Atmosphere - layer of gases surrounding the Earth (including water vapor)
