12 Socrates GRUNDTVIG: parents at school 12 “EDUCATE” ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

13 Socrates GRUNDTVIG: parents at school 13 Educate... How can we define the concept?... “Teach someone things as s/he grows up and develops her/is intelligence, body and morals”. “Teach someone to behave so that s/he is able to share social life”. Source: Diccionario Lengua Española. Anaya. Primaria Xindiriz’s translation

14 Socrates GRUNDTVIG: parents at school 14 Quietly, but non-stop…, we read something…

15 Socrates GRUNDTVIG: parents at school 15 “Education bequeathes things because it aims to preserve and that because it tries to preserve certain things because some values, behaviours, abilities and ideas are considered positive. It is never neutral: it implies choosing, checking, presupposing, convincing, praising and rejecting. Education favours an ideal of man against others, a model of citizenship, of work rules, of psychological development and of what being healthy is, which is not the only one but is accepted as the best” FERNANDO SAVATER. The value of education Xindiriz’s translation
