Energy Exchange : Federal Sustainability for the Next Decade 7 3M/ORNL Next-Generation Air Barriers Test site: Cottage Grove, MN Quantify energy savings due to improvements in airtightness 3M Built and instrumented 8 test facilities ORNL will monitor energy use and air barrier performance for 2 years Data collection will begin in August 2015 At least one air and water resistive barriers transitioned to CBI deployment. Work can be leveraged by DOE’s Codes team 3M 3015 3M 2085VP Easy-to-install air and water barrier that is expected to reduce installation errors, thereby increasing energy savings
